BECOME A MEMBER
By joining the BSC, you will become part of a community of diverse biophysical researchers located across Canada. The BSC fosters biophysical research by enhancing interactions between Canadian Biophysicists. Another key mission of the BSC is to promote the careers of the next generation of Biophysicists in Canada. Members of the BSC are kept abreast of society activities through our biannual newsletter.
You can join the BSC either as an individual member (Regular, Student/Post-doc or Emeritus) or through a lab membership. The lab membership is for one PI and all the trainees that are directly under his/her supervision.
Your 2017 membership dues in the Biophysical Society of Canada are used primarily to support trainees (travel grants, awards, etc.). Funds are also used to promote Biophysics in Canada by sponsoring events, such as the BSC annual meeting and Canadian Biophysics networking events.
For questions regarding BSC membership, please contact the membership officer, Nancy Forde, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Members enjoy discounted registration fees for the BSC annual meeting. Trainee members of the BSC are also eligible for travel awards to the annual meetings of both the US Biophysical Society and the BSC.
