François’s thesis work highlights various ways to describe complex immune responses with respect to adaptive immunity, more relevant to this community- the thesis work also shows how ‘physics-like’ models of immune response can be inferred to uncover the phenomenon of immune antagonism and lays the foundation to design advanced Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T cells.
