Research Summary: My interests are in the areas of structural biology and biophysics. My research group primarily works on three topics: 1) parkin, a ubiquitin ligase, mutated in Parkinson’s disease, 2) the newly discovered PRL-CNNM pathway, which regulates magnesium homeostasis and cell growth through cysteine phosphorylation, protein-protein interactions, and membrane ion transporters, and 3) RNA binding proteins.
