BSC Award Winner for LGBTQ+STEM Conference

The BSC is proud of its support for the LGBTQ+STEM Conference that was held at the University of Windsor for the first time at the beginning of this month. This unique 2-day conference included scientific talks and panel discussions on LGBTQ+STEM pathways and diversifying academic STEM. The BSC sponsored a $100 poster prize for a student in Biological and Physical Sciences, awarded to Aislyn Laurent from the University of Windsor. Aislyn is developing a web application (the Vesicle Viewer) to help the visualization of small-angle scattering data generated in the study of lipid bilayers. Congratulations Aislyn Laurent and keep up the great work.
