Research Summary: Our research at the interface of physics and biology aims to make fundamental advances in our understanding of living systems and to apply this knowledge to the growing problem of antimicrobial resistance. We develop quantitative mathematical/computational/machine learning models and perform experiments in our biosafety level 2 biophysics-microbiology laboratory on genetically engineered and pathogenic yeasts.
