The BSC is delighted to announce that Dr. Paul Wiseman has been chosen as the 2024 Fellow of the BSC. This is the highest honour bestowed by our society, to scientists deemed to have made exceptional contributions to the field of Biophysics.
Dr. Wiseman’s impressive body of work includes seminal contributions to fluorescence microscopy and imaging of molecules in live cells. Him and his group at McGill have developed and applied image correlation techniques which, by providing high-resolution maps of protein interactions, transport and oligomerization states in vivo, have had a tremendous impact in the fields of cell biology and cellular biophysics.
Dr. Wiseman will be the National Lecturer at the 2024 BSC annual meeting which will take place in Montreal from May 21-24, 2024.
